CASDKenya through its outreach program and networking seeks out and share innovative approaches to crisis prevention, early warning and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to aid in fostering unity.


Muhoroni Sub-County and the greater Sugar Belt zone bordering Nandi County is increasingly vulnerable to violence as evidenced byt the growing ethunic hatred and tension and at times unexplained insecurity incidences resulting to loss of lives and livestock occassioning the ethnic balkanization of particular communities of being criminals.

Land ownership and boundary concerns also contribute to the growing tension that results in pockets of violence, the most recent witnessed between 26th February and 3rd March 2012.

  1. Promoting Peaceful Co-existence among communities
  2. Establishing a Conflict Early Warning System and Response Mechanism
  3. Establish root causes of conflict and develop mitigation system
  4. Encourage Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms
